COCA COLA SPICED - Review

February 26th, 2024 - BugMan

Coca Cola has certainly been no stranger to bizarre, experimental, and limited edition flavors. The past couple years in particular have seen a surge in unusual flavors with the Coca Cola Creations line that began in 2022, sporting flavors that come right from the shopping lists of schizophrenics and emblazoned with names that sound like the stage names of drag queens who get arrested for child molestation.

"fruity fantasy flavored" is probably also how they described themselves to kids.

However, perhaps concerningly, their appalling war crime-tier experiments on how to legally resell toxic by-products from cosmetics production as "soft drinks" are not solely confined to their Coca Cola Creations line. One such example is this recent concoction of theirs, Coca Cola Spiced.

struggling with making flavor labels stand out, in true modern Coke fashion!

Now if you're an ancient fossil like myself who remembers the days when portable Apple devices could actually manage to squeeze in a headphone jack and when you could freely insult people's purported sexuality in online video games, the concept of a "spiced" cola might evoke memories of Pepsi Holiday Spice. In 2004, Pepsi decided to take a stab at a Christmas season flavor, with a "cinnamon finish". The fact that I can't seem to find a single print or television ad for it to use as an example should be a good indicator of how well it did; Pepsi Holiday Spice skipped 2005 and was inflicted upon us one more time in 2006 as a feeler to make extra sure that it was a flop. And, much like the confused bipolar vehicle known as the Subaru Baja, it was never seen again after 2006.
